Embedded Hardware & Firmware Engineer | Smart Device Developer
Embedded hardware and firmware engineer helping startups and product teams turn ideas into reliable, manufacturable smart devices. With the board and the code handled by one engineer, you get fewer integration surprises, fewer board spins and a faster path to production. From concept to manufacturing, I handle the full product development cycle: electronics architecture, schematic design, multilayer PCB layout, embedded firmware, prototype bring-up, testing and production files. With multiple years of experience and boards delivered across many projects, my focus is hardware and software that work in the real world, not just on the bench. WHAT I CAN HELP WITH Hardware Design: → Schematic and circuit design for new products and revisions → Multilayer PCB layout, including high-speed and RF-aware routing → Power electronics: battery management, DC-DC converters and protection circuits → Component selection and BOM optimization for cost and availability → Complete manufacturing files: Gerbers, drill files, pick-and-place, assembly drawings and DFM checks Embedded Firmware: → C and C++ firmware, bare-metal and FreeRTOS → ARM Cortex-M, STM32, ESP32 and Nordic nRF52 → Peripheral interfaces and drivers: SPI, I2C, UART, CAN → Low-power firmware: sleep modes, power optimization and battery life → Wireless and IoT connectivity: BLE, WiFi, MQTT and OTA updates Smart Device Development: → IoT and connected devices, battery-powered and low-power products → Sensor, instrumentation, wireless and control electronics → Hardware bring-up, board validation and system-level debugging → Reverse engineering and redesign of existing boards → Design reviews of existing schematics, layouts and firmware WHY HARDWARE AND FIRMWARE TOGETHER Many product delays happen at the boundary between the board and the code. Because I work on both, pin planning, peripheral choices, power sequencing and debug access are decided with firmware in mind from the first revision. Every design also accounts for grounding, return paths, EMI/EMC risk, thermal behavior, component availability, test access and assembly. TOOLS Altium Designer, KiCad and EasyEDA for schematic capture and PCB layout, plus standard lab equipment for bring-up, testing and validation. WHAT YOU GET → Clean, manufacturable schematics and PCB layouts → Complete production and assembly files ready for your manufacturer → Clear BOM and design documentation → Well-structured, documented firmware your team can maintain and extend → Hardware-only or firmware-only work is welcome too, delivered with clean files your team can build on LET'S TALK ABOUT YOUR PRODUCT Send your requirements, existing files or a rough concept. You will get a clear plan for how the design would be approached, the milestones involved and exactly what you will receive.
