Richard B.

I am a freelance FileMaker and iOS software developer, based in South Oxfordshire, UK. I've been working in FileMaker since 2001 and developing professionally since 2007. I'm familiar with many versions of the platform from FileMaker 4 through to Claris FileMaker 2024, having built numerous custom systems from scratch, and updated and modified existing systems in a variety of deployment environments. I'm familiar with deploying solutions to the Cloud, Windows and Mac desktop, iOS mobile devices and on-premise server deployments. I've integrated FileMaker solutions with numerous APIs, conecting with online systems like Shopify, Xero Accounting, Not On The High Street and the APC and DPD Courier platforms. I've also integrated EDI systems connecting FileMaker to Ocado, Amazon and The Co-operative warehousing/dispatch systems. During my career I've created and modified FileMaker systems for large multi-nationals like WorldPay, NFU Mutual, Union Distillers and, most recently, the British Honey Company. I've also built smaller projects for both desktop and iOS platforms in the Corporate Aviation, Motor Racing and Sales Coaching industries. As well as being a FileMaker professional, I am also a registered Apple Developer, having built numerous apps in both Objective-C and Swift and have had a presence in the App Store since 2010. I look forward to working with you.
