Jess G.

I run editorial operations - and I'm also the editor. Most content teams have one or the other: someone who owns the workflow, or someone who makes the writing good. I do both. After 10+ years of editorial and content management work across media, B2B intelligence, and consumer lifestyle content, I know how much that combination matters. I'm currently Managing Editor at ThereSanDiego (a local media site and two weekly newsletters reaching 22K+ subscribers) and Content Operations Manager at NextBigWin, where I oversee a team producing a daily agency intelligence newsletter. In both roles, I edit every piece before it goes out for brand voice, accuracy, and quality, while also owning the systems that keep everything running on time. I also specialize in AI-assisted editorial workflows. I've built prompt libraries from scratch for two editorial teams, transforming content that used to read like press releases into something readers actually want to engage with. What I offer: Content Operations: Building and managing editorial workflows, publishing calendars, and QA processes so your content machine runs without you chasing it. Editorial Work: End-to-end editing for brand voice, consistency, clarity, and quality - across articles, newsletters, and digital content. Copyediting & Proofreading: Precise line-level editing for grammar, mechanics, and style. Publication-ready every time. Want to talk through what you're working on? Happy to jump on a quick call. Jess
