Illustrator for Believable Props Creatures Places

I research how real things work to invent new ones that feel true – creative solutions grounded in reality in the form of props, creatures, and places for books, games, and products. You know your subject. I know how to draw believable things. You send your references and tell me where the picture will be used, how large it will be, and what you need that photos cannot provide. That tells me how much I have to learn, how many options we need, and how clean the finish must be. I tell you plainly what your project requires and what it costs. I send regular updates so we can adjust while the work is rough so you don't pay to redo finished art. Selected work: ▸ Babylonian oil lamp — royal jade and gold mushussu design for a Daniel 1 table scene, ruby eyes lit by its own flame. Researched ancient lamps, then invented a palace piece that anchors the light. ▸ Southern Oregon coast slice — from a rough geologic sketch to coloured line art holding crust, subducting plates, magma flow, and landmarks. Kept true to spec with checks at every stage. ▸ Winged lion — five first night poses from fresh lion anatomy study, refined to a clean vector mark for embroidery and print. Grounded paws, open wings, open mouth on client direction. I focus on nonfiction, educational, and product invention. For narrative work I partner best with clients who share my Christian worldview. To start, send your references, your use and size, and what photos cannot give you for this project.
