Kimberly A.
Mental Health Social Worker, Criminal Justice and Corporate Background
I am a behavioral and mental health professional with a strong background in the criminal justice system, as well as corporate training and supervision. Currently, I work as a behavioral health case manager supporting ex-offenders, but I also have experience as a clinician in a suicide prevention program and as a co-responder clinician working with the sheriff’s office to address mental health calls. While my focus is on mental health and psychology, I am deeply interested in the intersection of behavioral health, the criminal justice system, and social justice/reform. I am passionate about exploring how these fields converge to support systemic change and improve outcomes for individuals affected by trauma and involvement with the justice system. Before transitioning to these fields, I spent several years developing professionally within one company, gaining experience across multiple roles including customer service, technical support, claims, employee training, and supervision. I am comfortable facilitating learning sessions and proficient in adult learning strategies. I have experience managing learning management systems (LMS) and am familiar with the technologies commonly used in corporate environments, including Microsoft Office and Google tools. I have also received two levels of Six Sigma certification. Additionally, I am skilled in navigating and documenting in electronic health records (EHRs). I am detail-oriented and efficient in my documentation, although I can be “wordy” at times, ensuring accuracy in all records. While my primary goal is to supplement my income with data entry opportunities, I am open to taking on any tasks or projects that come my way. I am eager to learn and contribute in any way possible.
