Michael H.

My name is Michael, and I’m a Squarespace expert with over a decade of professional web design & development experience. After working for a web & graphic design agency for 7 years, I am currently transitioning to freelance web design here on Upwork. During my years as a Squarespace designer & developer, I have honed my skills by creating elegant & effective websites for individuals, businesses, and organizations. My design philosophy: ✦ Focus on Essence – I design with the belief that websites should be streamlined; I will present your product, business or mission clearly so your visitors are inspired to take action without getting bogged down in extraneous details. ✦ An Eye for Beauty – Your website needs to look great. My experience working as both a web developer & graphic designer puts me in a unique position to create attractive, mobile-ready websites that don’t sacrifice form for functionality, and vice versa. ✦ Make Your Vision a Reality – Perhaps most importantly, I’ve learned how to translate my clients’ abstract ideas to the current realities of web design. I believe the role of a designer is not simply to build a website from provided content, but to understand the client’s vision and transmit it through design. By incorporating these design philosophies via a deep understanding of Squarespace and its design tools, third-party integrations, SEO settings, and modern best practices of web design, I’ve been able to help a vast range of clients to create captivating sites. I look forward to working with you to create your dream website!
