I have designed a variety of garden types in residential and public spaces and can provide you with a customized garden design experience. I have years of experience from tending a thriving, suburban, backyard garden with shrub and flower borders (including many native plants), raised beds for edibles, columnar apple trees, a compost area, and a small flock of chickens. As your garden designer, our first step will be a consultation to discuss your project goals, define the scope of the project and discuss deliverables and deadlines. We can do this via Zoom via the Upwork platform (or in-person for clients in Central NJ). My overall design process usually includes a conceptual design phase, a client review and comment phase, and a final design phase. My services can include: -Personalized garden design tailored to your sensibilities and your space (site conditions, measurements, and photographs to be provided by you with my guidance, other arrangements can be made for clients in NJ) -Garden installation oversight or contractor coordination (for clients in NJ) -Assistance with sourcing/purchasing plants Depending on the size and complexity of your project, the design deliverables may include: -Concept plan and mood/visual board -2D garden design rendering(s) -2D landscape plan(s) (including a plant palette) -A plant list including common/Latin plant names, potential plant substitutes, relevant plant information (color, size, etc.), total plant quantities All of these documents would be delivered digitally as PDF documents. I am a civil engineer who transitioned into the garden design field over the last couple of years. I have designed several gardens locally and want to expand my services via freelancing. I consider it a great privilege to help any of my clients design a garden. No project is too small!
