Language Scientist | Technical writing and presentation
So what exactly does someone with a PhD in linguistics do? As a language scientist, I have the opportunity to be involved in the publishing process in several different capacities. For the past ten years, I have been regularly writing scholarly articles, presenting at academic conferences, peer reviewing others' research, copyediting, and teaching language and writing at both undergraduate and graduate levels. I love taking a scientific approach to improving technical communication and empowering others to become more effective communicators.
