I’m a writer and editor with a somewhat unusual background. For the past 12+ years, I’ve worked in sales and recruiting, including the last 5+ years in agency recruiting focused on power delivery and the energy industry. Along the way, I’ve also spent a lot of time writing, editing, and working with all kinds of professional and technical content. Today, a big part of my work is taking content- whether it was written by a person or generated with AI- and making it better. That could mean fixing grammar and punctuation, but it often goes quite a bit further. I look for places where something is unclear, overly wordy, awkwardly structured, repetitive, or just doesn’t sound like something a real person would say. I can clean up AI-generated content, improve the flow of a technical paper, tighten up business writing, or completely rewrite something while preserving the original meaning and voice. I’m comfortable working across a pretty wide range of content, including: - Articles, reports, and technical papers - AI-generated content that needs a human touch - Business and professional communications - Resumes and LinkedIn profiles - Job descriptions and recruiting materials - Proposals and presentations - Marketing and website copy - Proofreading and copy editing - Rewriting and content improvement My recruiting and sales background is also a big part of what I bring to the table. I understand how businesses communicate, what hiring managers actually look for, and how to make professional writing sound polished without making it sound robotic or overly formal. I’m comfortable jumping into unfamiliar subjects. I’ve spent years recruiting for highly technical engineering roles, so I’m used to learning new industries and terminology quickly and asking the right questions when something doesn’t make sense. Basically, if you have something written that needs to be clearer, cleaner, more natural, more professional, or simply better, I’m probably a good person to talk to. And if it was written by AI and you’re thinking, “This is technically fine, but it just doesn’t sound right,” that’s probably especially in my wheelhouse. Broadly speaking, I help people communicate.
