Lee P.
Chief Electronics Engineer
I made my first movie when I was 12. I was accepted to the UCLA Film School 1 of 80 selected from over 1000 applicants. On graduation I started building sets for the motion picture industry. I did this to support while writing and creating a 3D motion picture that was produced in 1984. I took a job as the Asst Director of R&D for United Artists / Todd-AO, the company that created “70mm”. I left this job to design a 70mm camera used to photograph a simulation ride for Futuroscope, Poitiers, France which is still playing. While shooting and directing I taught myself firmware and electronic design and built a 9 axis motion control system. In 2008 I was offered a job to design the electronics for JJ Abrahms reboot of STAR TREK. I met the founder of LiteGear on that show and started designing LED lighting systems.
