Sreyas C.
Electric Engineering PhD
I am a postdoctoral researcher at NIST in the Microsystems and Nanotechnology Division, where I focus on design, nanofabrication, optical metrology and testing of optomechanical accleetomerters and other photonic sensors. I received my PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a focus on nanomaterials for energy applications, from Johns Hopkins University. My research focus is on synthesizing quantum dots and fabricating various energy and logic optoelectronic devices, using a variety of electromagnetic simulation tools, as well as using machine learning for the inverse design of optoelectronic thin films. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins for graduate school, I was a silicon process engineer at a high volume CPU/GPU fab (metal organic chemical vapor deposition), as well as a MEMS foundry (contact photolithography and wafer dicing). I enjoy analyzing processes and suggesting and implementing process improvements. I have experience in software development for ML solutions in a variety of physics problems. I am available for any type of work, and prefer contract assignments, or fixed-price/contract projects.
