Data Scientist | Turning Problematic Data into Actionable Insights
I am a seasoned data scientist with a Master’s in Statistics from Stanford University with domain knowledge in ecology and marine biology. My work experience with spatially and temporally complex ecological problems as well as extracting business insights for executives has allowed me to work on data science related contracts in other domains such as healthcare, agriculture, and fitness. Specializing in R, Python, R Markdown, R Shiny, and ArcGIS, I deliver actionable insights through advanced statistical modeling (frequentist, non-parametric, semi-parametric, Bayesian, or machine learning depending on needs) and data visualization. As Ecological Data Science Supervisor for the Seminole Tribe of Florida, I’ve helped optimize $1.2M in water quality projects to maximize insights, automated data pipelines for 10X efficiency, and secured a $400,000 EPA grant for predictive modeling. My work at Nova Southeastern University has honed my ability to translate complex data into strategic solutions for business optimization and student success and communicate actionable findings to upper management through automated reporting and dashboards.
