MD Jamal H.

I am a Senior Statistician and Founder & Principal Statistician of JH Stat, with more than 12 years of experience in statistical modelling, quantitative research methods and applied health research. I hold a BSc (Hons) and MSc in Statistics and a PhD in Social Statistics and Demography. I support researchers, clinicians and organisations across the full research cycle, including study design, sample size and power calculations, statistical analysis plans, data analysis, interpretation, reporting and publication support. My methodological expertise includes multilevel and longitudinal modelling, survival analysis, causal and observational methods, regression modelling, psychometrics and outcome measurement, diagnostic accuracy, health survey analysis and machine-learning approaches. I work with R, Stata, SPSS, AMOS and Python, with an emphasis on reproducible and well-documented analysis. My experience includes health services research, clinical and observational studies, quality-of-life and patient-reported outcome research, workforce research, survey analysis and externally funded multidisciplinary projects. I also provide statistical input to grant applications, protocols, manuscripts and responses to reviewers. Alongside consultancy, I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I am also undertaking professional development in Applied AI and Data Science through MIT Professional Education. I am happy to support either a focused statistical task or longer-term collaboration, depending on the needs of the project.
