Lorrie H.

For over 20 years, I’ve shaped content across print, digital, and multimedia, including children's books and series, interactive EdTech game scripts, original children's songs, and comprehensive early learning curricula. Whether you need a Developmental Editor to map out a manuscript, an EdTech Writer to script interactive digital experiences, or an ECE Expert to design an early learning curriculum or marketing and social media campaign, I combine early-learning pedagogy with professional storytelling to bring your vision to life. WHAT I DO BEST: * Children's Publishing & Editing: Developmental editing, manuscript evaluations, ghostwriting (fiction/non-fiction), and author coaching (Ages middle schoolers to adults) * Educational Media & EdTech: Interactive game scripts, educational songs, children's literature, and digital learning content. * Curriculum & ECE Consulting: Play-based & creative-arts learning frameworks, social-emotional learning (SEL) integration, Montessori-aligned content, and Pre-K to Grade 3 resources. * Family Media & Strategy: SEO blog writing, parenting articles, digital content strategy, and brand storytelling. MY CREATIVE APPROACH: My philosophy as a writer and director is simple: show, don't tell. The most memorable stories don't just communicate information; they evoke emotion and create a true connection. Whether I’m crafting a script, a song, or an editorial map, I ensure children experience a world they can carry with them long after the story ends. WHAT CLIENTS SAY: "When I first came to Lorrie, I had really no idea what help I needed. It's my first fiction book... She was able to translate my abstract thoughts, edit, tweak, and map out my story idea!" Ready to create something magical? Click "Invite to Job" above or send me a message, and let's get started!
