I am a Civil Engineer with 10+ years in hydrology, hydraulics and GIS. I work across two main areas: pressure water distribution networks (EPANET) and flood and hydrological modeling (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS), supported by strong GIS skills in QGIS, Global Mapper and AutoCAD. On the water supply side, I model distribution networks in EPANET, including DMA sectorization, pressure management, demand allocation and leakage assessment, covering everything from transmission mains to internal pump systems. On the flood and hydraulics side, I build HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS models for floodplain studies, catchment characterization, flood hydrograph construction and the hydraulic design of channels and culverts. I've also worked on FEMA-related studies in the US, including floodplain analysis and a No-Rise certification, so I'm familiar with how those reviews and submittals work. A good part of my background is in the mining sector, working on water management for tailings facilities, hydraulic structure design, and dam breach analysis to assess flood extents and risk to surrounding areas. I've delivered projects across Latin America (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Nicaragua), Africa (Ghana, South Africa, Burkina Faso), the Middle East (UAE), Asia (India), Europe (Spain), the US and Australia. That range has made me comfortable adapting to different standards, data sources and project requirements. I move easily between hydraulic modeling, risk assessment and water resource management, and I'm used to integrating georeferenced data from different sources.
