Career bartender of 20 years took a year off drinking alcohol to see what would happen. 11 months in I had Ocean Beach Cafe + Non Alcoholic Bar and 50 #noboozereviews videos on YouTube as @joshthenonalcoholic. I got to see what was possible when I wasn't drinking, and didn't have any hangovers. I was the second only NA Bar in the country at the time and the only one owned by a food and beverage professional. This was a great idea to execute in the heart of COVID 2020 because millions decided to drink less the Dry January of 2021 when I opened my doors. Ocean Beach Cafe has been the ground zero for this shift in drinking culture that everyone seems to be talking about. We've had over 60 articles written about us, and the business has been a huge success with 20-25% year over year growth. I help bring Non Alcoholic beverage solutions to corporate, and inspire others to open Non Alcoholic beverage focused businesses so we can have more social spaces that don't revolve completely around alcohol. I have done over 500 1hr NA tastings and NA Mixology Classes by reservation, and hundreds of off-site NA Bar Catering events. I am a passionately helping shift mindset on this new industry, letting people know whats good, and what all this means for the way society socializes.
