Azure Architect | AKS & Cloud Infrastructure | Terraform | DevSecOps
Azure Solutions Architect and DevOps Engineer with 10+ years designing, migrating, and securing enterprise cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS. I don't just know the theory. I've spent a decade actually building this stuff in production, often under tight deadlines, for organizations that couldn't afford things to go wrong. Here's the thing: most cloud projects don't fail because of bad technology. They fail because someone skipped the architecture thinking, or deployed infrastructure that works in a demo but falls apart at scale. That's the gap I fill. I come in at the design level, not just the execution level, and I think that distinction matters more than most job posts admit. What I actually work on: 𝐀𝐳𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 I build secure, multi-subscription Azure environments using Management Groups, Azure Policy, RBAC, and Entra ID. Not cookie-cutter deployments, but architectures that hold up when your team grows from 5 engineers to 50, or when your compliance team suddenly needs an audit trail for everything going back 18 months. 𝐀𝐊𝐒 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐊𝐮𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐬 End-to-end AKS design covering ingress architecture, workload isolation, RBAC, Helm-based deployments, observability, and security hardening. I've seen too many Kubernetes setups that are impressive to demo and painful to operate. Mine are built to be maintained by the team that inherits them, not just the person who built them. 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞 Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates. The goal isn't just automation for its own sake. It's eliminating the kind of configuration drift that causes 2am incidents six months after a deployment. Done right, IaC is boring. And honestly, boring infrastructure is exactly what you want. 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 I've migrated enterprise workloads from on-premise to Azure and AWS, covering IaaS, PaaS, containerized apps, and hybrid connectivity. Migrations are stressful. There's always something the original docs didn't capture: a legacy dependency, a network quirk, a service that was apparently "temporary" in 2015 and somehow still runs payroll. I'm used to that. I plan for it. 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐎𝐩𝐬 𝐏𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab, and GitHub Actions for containerized and AKS workloads. Security gates, policy enforcement, and automated compliance checks built into the pipeline, not bolted on afterward. Because bolting it on afterward is how breaches happen. 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 Zero Trust implementation, Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, PIM, Conditional Access, and Azure Policy. I've worked with security-conscious clients across regulated environments, so I know what auditors actually look for, not just what the compliance checklist says. 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐎𝐩𝐬 Rightsizing, Reserved Instance planning, PaaS migration, and governance controls that produce real savings. Cloud bills have a way of becoming nobody's problem until they're everyone's problem. I'd rather fix that before the CFO notices. 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 ✔ Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert ✔ Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate ✔ Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals ✔ Microsoft Certified: Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions ✔ Microsoft Certified: Developing Microsoft Azure Solutions My automation toolbox includes PowerShell, Python, Bash, Terraform, Bicep, and ARM, across Windows and Linux environments. I'm equally comfortable writing a Terraform module from scratch and debugging why a 3-year-old ARM template is failing in a pipeline nobody's touched since the original engineer left. So who do I work best with? Honestly, clients who already know what they want to build but need someone who can pressure-test the approach, spot the gaps before they become problems, and actually own the architecture from design through delivery. I'm not the right fit if you need someone to follow a task list. But if you need someone to think with you and deliver something that lasts, let's talk.
