I embarked on my journey in the fashion industry at the age of 27, making a deliberate shift from my previous career to pursue my lifelong passion. This pivotal decision led me to enroll in ESMOD, a renowned Paris-based fashion school with global programs, including one in Beirut. During my time at university, I achieved acclaim by securing the top prizes awarded by the jury for three consecutive years. Subsequently, I seized valuable internship opportunities with prominent Lebanese and international fashion houses, where I honed my skills in both design and creative pattern drafting. Shortly thereafter, I decided to put my abilities to the test by competing in Project Runway Middle East, where I emerged as the inaugural winner of the first season under the discerning eye of Elie Saab, who headed the jury. This transformative experience not only sharpened my creative instincts but also instilled in me a keen understanding of the commercial landscape, shaping my design philosophy. My approach to fashion design is characterized by a sophisticated fusion of minimalism, classical influences, and contemporary elements, resulting in pieces that exude complexity and refinement. Drawing inspiration from diverse sources such as geometric forms, architectural aesthetics, and the intricate folds of origami, my vision for the modern woman is both commanding and evocative. I seamlessly incorporate menswear techniques into my designs, leveraging details and materials typically found in shirts and suits to create tailored collars, trousers, jumpsuits, and shirting and suiting fabrics. The resulting garments serve as bold statements of empowerment for women who seek to make a distinct impression. Beyond aesthetics, my work is driven by a deeper mission to empower women to embrace their individuality and confidence. I design for the woman who is unapologetically herself, seeking to make a bold statement through her fashion choices. As a designer, I thrive on being intricately involved in every stage of the creative process, from conceptualization and sketching to pattern development, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to excellence. With a genuine, optimistic, and open-minded approach, I thrive in collaborative environments where I can contribute my expertise and passion for fashion to create impactful designs.
