Alicia C.

Senior Editorial Designer | Reports, Publications & Visual Communication I turn technical content into educational materials that communities actually understand and use. For over 15 years, I’ve designed manuals, guides and visual tools for NGOs and international organizations across Latin America, including World Vision International, UNICEF, CRS, Save the Children, Plan International and ChildFund. My work combines editorial design with pedagogical mediation and participatory design, adapting content for children, adolescents, youth and adults in community and institutional settings. Key areas: food security and nutrition, health, education, child protection and community development. What I do: • Training manuals, facilitator guides, toolkits and playbooks • Social and Behavior Change (SBC/SBCC) and IEC materials • Flipcharts, posters and visual tools for community use • Infographics, diagrams, process flows and visual systems for content-heavy publications • Children’s materials and children’s book illustration • Editorial design for books, magazines, brochures and annual reports • Print-ready design and production • English–Spanish content adaptation I combine creative thinking, strategy and strong editorial structure so every project is not only visually appealing, but also clear, functional and easy to navigate. I’m experienced working with multidisciplinary and international teams, incorporating feedback efficiently and maintaining visual consistency across large and complex projects, from concept development to final delivery. I lead a design and consulting studio based in Guatemala, and I’m the author of four published children’s books. Tools: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Canva and other digital design tools.
