Robotics Software & DevOps Engineer | PhD | ROS, CI/CD, Docker, Linux

I'm a robotics engineer with a PhD in systems and control who also builds the infrastructure robots depend on: how software is built, shipped, secured and validated, from the repository to the device in the field. Most robotics teams have one person who understands the robot and another who understands the infrastructure. I work across both, so I can take a project from the algorithm to a repeatable deployment on real hardware. What I can do for you: - CI/CD for robotics: reusable GitHub Actions pipelines, ROS and Debian package builds, native ARM64 runners, release and prerelease channels - Software distribution: private, GPG-signed APT repositories with credential-free uploads from CI through OIDC - Secure device connectivity: WireGuard VPNs with internal DNS, private certificate authorities, mTLS, device enrollment - Containers and deployment: Docker, Podman and Compose stacks, rootless services, Jetson images, repeatable setup on AWS - Test and validation: validation frameworks, KPI reports, regression tests, tests on physical devices and on the final UI - Robotics algorithms: localization, sensor fusion, perception and control with C++, Python and ROS/ROS2 Selected work: - Earth Rover (agricultural robotics): delivery infrastructure for its robots, including central CI, a private APT repository, device enrollment with a private CA and a packaged VPN for secure communication between devices - ShinePhi (thin-film measurement): test and validation of its software, on the hardware device and through the final UI - BMW, through Luxoft: localization validation software for autonomous driving and radar-based localization optimization for ADAS - Autonomous driving: control algorithms with TDD, CI/CD on GitLab, HIL and race car simulator integration, real-time telemetry - PhD research: GNSS-magnetometer-odometry fusion for vineyard navigation, LiDAR traversability, deep learning detection - Upwork: magnetic anomaly analysis from vehicle sensor data, rated 5 stars "Solomon seems very competent and quick... his deliverable worked first time. Highly recommended coder." How I work: we agree on measurable acceptance criteria first, I test early on your real setup, and you get automated, documented systems that your team can run without me. To start, send me what you are building, how you deploy it today, and what keeps breaking.
