Programmer and Linux/Unix administrator with over 20 years of experience, working in environments varying in size from microcontrollers to HPC clusters. Virtualization and containerization on Proxmox, KVM, VirtualBox, podman and docker, can assist in VMware migrations. Programming in anything from (shell) scripts (bash/sh, lua, python, php) to compiled languages (C, C++), building rich UIs using HTMX or QML. I love taking on difficult-to-impossible challenges and exploring the technical possibility of setups, integrating between different systems and creating the "glue" for that. Moving your data from "the big players" onto your back onto your own (on-prem/colo/vps) solutions is another passion of mine and I have built expertise with nextcloud, mail, identity management, monitoring and other such needs.
