Italo M.

Senior Software Engineer (17+ yrs) specializing in React Native, React/Next.js & TypeScript. I build fast, reliable apps—e-commerce, IoT, and mobile, leading migrations and performance overhauls end-to-end, from architecture to launch. I help product teams ship fast, stable, and scalable apps. My sweet spot is React Native + React/Next.js with TypeScript—owning the work from architecture to delivery and performance tuning (FPS/memory profiling, RN/Android tooling). • Led a phased replatform for a major US fashion retailer to Next.js + Commercetools Frontend (omnichannel, zero-downtime approach). • Tech Lead for a convenience/fuel chain’s React Native app—took it from MVP to production readiness. • Built IoT features for a global appliance brand (AWS IoT, MQTT) and hardened mobile UX under real-world network constraints. • Architected a tax-calculation module integrating Avalara / Stripe Tax, simplifying multi-provider compliance. Core skills React Native (Expo & bare) · React/Next.js (App Router) · TypeScript · Node/NestJS · AWS (Lambda, IoT, DynamoDB) · Cloudflare Workers · Algolia · Contentful/Contentstack · Commercetools · CI/CD · Performance profiling Also exploring: pragmatic AI integrations (LangChain, CopilotKit, OpenAI).
