I'm an experienced AWS Application Developer with a strong background in both higher education and the financial industry. My core expertise lies in designing and deploying cloud infrastructure using the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK), enabling teams to manage infrastructure as code with clarity, scalability, and precision. I have experience building AI Agents with Bedrock Agentcore and Strands Agents and FastAPI. I highly value and focus on unit testing both in applicaiton logic (Jest, Mocha for nodejs) and Infrastructure (CDK Test) and integrate the testing in my pipeline. I work extensively with Python, TypeScript, Node.js, FastAPI, and Linux, and have hands-on experience with a wide range of AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, IAM, ECS, ECR, S3, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, GithubActions, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, etc.. While I’m well-versed in serverless and container-based architectures, my main focus is on infrastructure design with CDK and improving developer workflows. I'm deeply passionate about Developer Experience (DevEx) especially within AWS environments, and I enjoy building tools, integrations, and CI/CD pipelines that make development smoother and more enjoyable for teams. I also bring a unique research perspective: during my Master’s in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, I published three peer-reviewed papers exploring the impact of perceived ethnicity on open-source contribution behavior.
