Quantum Software Engineer | Qiskit, Cirq..| Algorithms + Backends
I help researchers and engineers turn quantum computing theory into working, runnable code. That covers everything from algorithm design to simulation, optimization, backend integration, and running on real hardware via IBM Quantum and other providers. What I work on: - Quantum algorithm development: QAOA, VQE, Grover's, and custom variational circuits in Qiskit and Cirq - Optimization problems: encoding graph partitioning, routing, and scheduling problems for quantum solvers - Hybrid classical-quantum pipelines: integrating quantum routines into Python and Rust workflows - Provider-agnostic backend abstraction: clean orchestration layers that run across simulators and real hardware without rewrites - Circuit simulation and noise modeling: transpilation, error analysis, and benchmarking - Technical communication Selected work: SpiderTrace, a GNN-based decoder for quantum error correction using ZX-calculus as physics-informed supervision; a Pauli algebra tool in Rust for QEC compiler backends; a Rust-to-QASM transpiler; and hybrid QAOA pipelines for quantum research applications. Background: I contribute to the core quantum open-source ecosystem, with merged pull requests to PyZX, ZXlive, and TQEC, and I won a unitaryHACK 2026 bounty for that work. I completed IBM's Qiskit Global Summer School 2026 with the Quantum Excellence badge, and I've contributed a chapter to Riverlane's Deltakit textbook.
