In the course of my career, I have worked for market-leading technology companies including Sohonet, the award-winning private communications network for the media and entertainment industry, the Lightworks editing company, and the Computer Film Company. I have led a variety of bespoke projects, including designing systems for Formula One racing, work on multiple EU-funded European collaborative projects, hanging high-bandwidth laser communications relays off the side of buildings in the rain, writing image processing algorithms for Ridley Scott movies, designing telemetry and building control systems for National Grid, trading in the data centre market, laying telecoms links under roads, and rescuing companies by fixing their trashed IT systems or taming their out-of-control software projects.
