Sustainability | ESG | Net Zero | Design, implementation & reporting
I bring over 15 years of experience at the nexus of sustainability and business. I have consulted with several Fortune 500 clients on ESG and net-zero strategy development and implementation, and have led environmental and social sustainability programs for leading brands such as Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC), Rubicon Organics, and most recently Vancity, Canada’s largest credit union. I have spent the majority of my career leading sustainability in the outdoor and apparel industry with a focus on defining, designing and delivering sustainability strategy aligned with the business strategy. More recently, I have gained insights and experiences across different industries. What is consistent about all my roles is that I have worked for organizations that “punch above their weight” when it comes to sustainability, developing and implementing industry-leading programs. My expertise is in: • Strategy development (vision and goal setting, strategy & roadmap creation, metrics and KPI development, benchmarking & competitive analysis, materiality assessment) • Strategy implementation (collaboration, change management, action plan implementation, measurement systems, progress tracking) • Climate strategy (strategy & roadmap creation, target setting [e.g., SBTi], action plans, carbon footprints, GHG reduction strategy, assurance support, Climate Neutral certification, reporting) • Product sustainability (sustainable materials, material standards, Higg MSI, chain of custody, cross functional collaboration, Textile Exchange standards, and chemicals management, LCA, Fair Trade, and social compliance at high level) • Reporting and Communications (GRI, ISSB, CDP, supplier questionnaires [e.g., REI, MEC, Higg], external and internal content creation, training) A collaborative and pragmatic leader, I am a big believer in sustainability being a team sport. I pride myself in my relationship building skills and my ability to work at the 30k ft board level, deep in spreadsheets, and anywhere in between.
