Matthew A.

With nearly two decades of experience at Google, I served as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead, designing and maintaining critical infrastructure for some of Google’s most prominent products. My work has directly influenced the functionality, scalability, and quality of platforms like Google Ads, YouTube, Chrome, Chrome OS, and Android—reaching billions of users globally. Most recently, I contributed as a key member of the Google Widevine team, where I developed solutions powering seamless encrypted video playback for billions of devices across platforms such as YouTube, Amazon Video, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ and other major streaming services. These efforts ensured high-quality playback experiences on Chrome, Android, Microsoft Edge, smart TVs, and set-top boxes, collaborating with industry-leading teams to build scalable, secure, and reliable systems. In addition to my engineering expertise, I’ve recently begun branching into artificial intelligence and machine learning. I’m leveraging my extensive experience with large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, and cross-platform development to explore AI’s transformative potential. I’ve started acquiring hands-on experience with AI frameworks, building solutions for clients, and I’m excited to bring this knowledge to your new cutting-edge projects. Throughout my career, I’ve earned numerous internal Google awards across various teams for excellence in engineering, innovation, and leadership. I bring a proven track record of solving complex technical challenges, scaling infrastructure, and delivering results that drive user satisfaction and business growth. Now, as a freelancer, I’m here to help you tackle challenging software engineering problems, develop robust and scalable solutions, and deliver the quality your project deserves. Whether you need assistance with system architecture, cross-platform development, small code changes, or large-scale infrastructure, I’m ready to bring my expertise to your team. Let’s build something great together.
