Electrical Engineer - Circuit Design/Embedded Firmware - Space
Based in Powhatan, Virginia. I am an electrical and firmware engineer with over 10 years of experience, and 3 years of experience in the space industry. I have a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. The past 3 years I've worked at a space startup. I can assist clients with: • Electronic circuit design (analog and digital) • PCB layout • Embedded systems programming and debugging • Zephyr RTOS • Writing custom bootloaders • Vorago Cortex M4, PIC, AVR, MSP430/432, STM32 • GCC compiler and associated tools • Skilled in handling large software projects within teams (including Git/SVN) • Prototyping and enclosure design (3D printing, CNC machining) • Surface-mount soldering Interfaces: SPI, I2C, CAN, UART, A/D, D/A, PWM Tools: Altium Designer, KiCad, Fusion360 Experience in electromagnetic simulation and signal processing, underpinned by a strong background in mathematics and physics. Noteworthy achievements include having software currently deployed in space and hardware scheduled to reach orbit next year. I also have a well-equipped electronics lab and machine shop to support my projects. I can quickly 3D print or CNC mill enclosures, do surface mount soldering, and diagnose issues using a variety of test equipment.
