Jorge O.
U.S. Law Paralegal - (Immigration and Estate planning)
I’m a U.S. Law Paralegal based in Colombia with experience working remotely with U.S.-based attorneys and law firms in immigration and legal support matters. I’ve worked with La Liga Defensora AFC, and Alonso & Alonso Attorneys at Law supporting VAWA, T-Visa, AOS, Motions to Reopen, and general immigration cases. My responsibilities have included drafting and reviewing declarations, preparing filing packages, reviewing legal documents for accuracy and consistency, and helping attorneys keep cases organized. I also have experience assisting attorneys with trust drafting and estate planning matters. In addition, I have a law degree in Colombia and I am licensed to practice law in my country, which has strengthened my legal writing, research, and analytical skills throughout my professional experience. I work comfortably in fully remote environments and already have experience collaborating daily with US legal teams while handling cases entirely in English. I’m fluent in both English and Spanish, highly adaptable to different workflows, and experienced using platforms such as Litify, MyCase, Clio, Docrio, BlueDot, WealthDocx, WealthCounsel, Adobe Acrobat, Zoom, and RingCentral. I genuinely enjoy learning, being proactive, and helping wherever needed, and I always try to make the attorney’s job easier by staying organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
