Clear hierarchy and layouts that get out of the way. Responsive on every screen, because most of your traffic is on a phone. Recent work: A boutique clothing brand on WooCommerce was losing checkouts on mobile. Product pages took 5 seconds to load on a phone, and the cart broke on smaller screens. I rebuilt the template, cut image weight, and cleaned up 12 plugins that were fighting each other. Load time came down to 1 seconds and mobile checkouts went up 50% in the first 3 weeks. An events venue came to me with a site nobody had touched in years. Plugin conflicts, broken booking form, barely 10 enquiries a month coming through.
