Robot Cell & Machine Software | Operator HMI, MQTT/Modbus, Python

I build software that makes real machines usable: operator HMIs, MQTT/EMQX device applications, PLC/API integrations, and edge-to-cloud services for robots and industrial equipment. My current work includes a multi-milestone control HMI for an industrial cobot, covering operator workflows, live machine state, safety-aware controls, and controller integration. What I deliver: 1. Robotics & HMI Applications Operator interfaces, live telemetry, recipe management, device control, and hardware-to-software pipelines. 2. Industrial IoT & Device Integration MQTT/EMQX application and broker integration, device messaging, custom protocols, and edge-to-cloud data flows. 3. Automation & System Integration REST APIs, webhooks, PLC/API integration, Python/Go backend services, and workflows between systems that were never designed to talk. How I work: No software is bug-free, so I design for fail-safe behavior: the operator screen limits inputs, the robot or PLC program checks them again, and the safety controller's limits sit outside my code. A fault should stop the machine, not hurt anyone. Fixed scope and milestone-based delivery. Async-first, with clear written updates and short demo videos; calls when they help unblock a decision. I de-risk new systems through mock devices, scoped prototype milestones, and verification before full rollout. Changes to a running machine come with a bring-up checklist: a reduced-speed first run and deliberate fault tests. Every delivery includes documentation, a verification report, and a clean handover, so you can see exactly what works and own the result fully. Why trust my architectural choices? Before freelancing, I spent seven years in backend engineering across enterprise systems, high-concurrency platforms, AI products, and industrial robotics. Most recently, I was a Senior Backend Engineer at a leading global industrial AMR manufacturer, where I independently held the stability of its core internal infrastructure. My engineering standards are also backed by a formal recommendation letter signed by the company’s CTO, available to serious prospects on request. Full case studies, including architecture diagrams, verification reports, and measured production results, are available in my portfolio. When a project needs it, I also build AI tooling (Claude/MCP servers) with explicit permissions and human verification. You get an engineer who ships small, working, verifiable deliverables, not just a résumé.
