I am comfortable staying on-call during shifts and consistently maintaining under-15-minute response times. --- ## Key Responsibilities ### Dispatch & Driver Support * Serve as a primary point of contact for drivers during assigned shifts * Monitor route progress and operational performance throughout the day * Respond to driver questions and operational issues in a timely manner * Escalate critical issues to leadership when appropriate * Support drivers through route challenges, delivery issues, vehicle concerns, and operational disruptions * Coordinate rescues, route adjustments, and operational support when necessary * Maintain professional and timely communication at all times ### Communication Management * Monitor and maintain communication channels including chat groups, messaging platforms, dispatch tools, and email * Ensure operational updates are communicated accurately and promptly * Keep leadership informed of significant operational developments * Document issues, actions taken, and outcomes * Help ensure all stakeholders remain informed and aligned throughout the day ### Reporting & Documentation * Maintain accurate operational trackers, reports, and logs * Update dispatch records and route-related information throughout the day * Track escalations, driver concerns, attendance issues, route delays, and operational exceptions * Prepare end-of-shift summaries and operational reports * Ensure data accuracy across all systems and reporting tools ### Process Execution * Follow established dispatch procedures and operational playbooks * Help create, improve, and maintain dispatch SOPs, and operational documentation * Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements * Ensure operational standards are consistently followed * Drive consistency and accountability through process adherence ### Problem Solving & Escalation Management * Proactively identify operational risks before they impact service * Coordinate solutions across drivers, operations personnel, vendors, and leadership * Resolve day-to-day operational challenges with urgency and professionalism * Maintain composure and sound judgment during high-pressure situations --- ## Qualifications * Strong organizational and multitasking skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong attention to detail and follow-through * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities * Comfortable managing multiple communication channels and systems simultaneously * Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams * Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Sheets, Docs, and Gmail * Ability to maintain accurate records and reporting * Reliable internet connection and professional remote work environment * Strong sense of accountability, urgency, and ownership * Dispatching, logistics, transportation, fleet, or operations experience * Experience supporting delivery drivers or field teams * Experience using route management, GPS, telematics, or fleet management systems * Strong Excel, hubspot, and reporting skills * Experience working in a structured business environment * Experience creating and maintaining standard operating procedures and playbooks * Experience managing escalations and supporting fast-paced operations
