With over 8 years of experience in designing and optimizing a wide range of optical systems. My academic background includes a PhD in Photonics, and I have been involved in research and product development in both academic and industrial settings (biotechnology, medical, aerospace and defense). Over the years, I have developped metrological tools and imaging devices, including advanced microscopes and telescopes and managed interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality optical and optomechanical solutions. I also bring practical knowledge of system integration, and prototyping with CAD tools like FreeCAD. I can assist with: - Evaluating and defining system requirements and product specifications. - Optical system design from scratch, including sequential and non-sequential designs in Zemax OpticStudio. - Designing, optimizing, and prototyping optical systems for imaging, metrology, and AR/VR applications. - Integration of optical systems with mechanical components using CAD (FreeCAD). - Development of custom optical solutions for extreme environments. - Fiber optics system design and prototyping for specialized applications.
