I'm a Lead Developer with a computer science background, and most of my day-to-day work involves building, maintaining, and improving WordPress websites at scale. Working across hundreds of websites has changed the way I approach WordPress. When you're responsible for that many production sites, you can't afford to make changes blindly, ignore performance, or rely on processes that take hours every week. That's actually what got me interested in automation. If I find myself doing the same thing over and over, I start looking for a better way to do it. For example, I helped turn a WordPress maintenance process that took roughly 10 hours every week into a workflow that takes about an hour. I've also built systems around accessibility testing, client website requests, QA, and ongoing site management. But automation is only part of what I do. Most of the time, clients come to me because they need someone who can jump into an existing WordPress site, understand how it was built, and get something done without creating three new problems in the process. When a change has the potential to break something, I'll work through staging, test it, QA it, and then move it to production. I also try to communicate without burying clients in developer terminology. If something is broken, I'll tell you what's happening, what I recommend doing about it, and roughly what it'll take to fix. I'm comfortable taking on a quick WordPress fix, but I'm especially interested in building longer-term relationships where I can learn the website and become the person you reach out to when something needs to be built, fixed, optimized, or maintained.
