I design prototype-ready mechanical systems for new hardware—from initial architecture and CAD through build, test, and revision. My focus is mechanisms, enclosures, assemblies, thermal design, and practical design for prototyping and manufacturing. I am especially effective when sensors, wiring, actuators, electronics, and mechanical constraints must work together from the beginning. I am a mechanical engineer first, with hands-on PCB and embedded-systems experience. That means I catch integration issues early: clearances, wiring routes, connector access, heat paths, sensor placement, assembly sequence, and the design changes needed after the first prototype. Recent work includes scientific instruments, sensor systems, medical-device hardware, cryogenic equipment, automated test devices, and connected prototypes. I have supported designs for organizations including NIST and have published engineering work in the ASME Journal of Medical Devices.
