Derrick W.

As a full stack developer with over 10 years of experience, I specialize in creating polished, performant web applications with a particular focus on React and TypeScript. My background includes leading the frontend migration of a major HR platform from AngularJS to React, developing AI-powered features, and creating custom CMS solutions used by hundreds of businesses. I excel at translating complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions, whether that's building interactive dashboards, optimizing applications for performance, or ensuring accessibility compliance. Beyond my professional work, I'm passionate about building innovative solutions that enhance user experiences, as demonstrated by my side projects: PinHub, a comprehensive platform for the pinball community, and JukeRabbit, a democratic music selection system for social gatherings. I bring a unique combination of technical expertise, project leadership experience, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality products under tight deadlines.
