Michelle W.

I'm a grant writer with over seven years of experience supporting mission-driven nonprofits and individuals. As a grant writer, I've raised over $2.8 million for small nonprofits. Whether you're hoping to identify funding sources that align with your work, write a grant proposal, edit a preexisting application, or report to a grantor on the work you've done, I can help. My specialties include arts, culture, education, and environmental organizations. I view grant writing as a form of strategic storytelling and consistently write proposals rooted in story and strengthened by data. I am experienced applying for federal funding opportunities with awards from the NEA, NEH, and IMLS. I also have experience applying for support from private foundations and local governmental agencies. If you're looking to strengthen your institutional funding portfolio, I'd love to help.
