Bon M.

Born in Seoul in 1981. Currently a professor at Hongik University. Since the late 2000s, he has lived in various countries including Spain, the UK, the USA, China, and Korea, encountering diverse typographic cultures that have greatly influenced his research and work. In particular, while working as a designer in the design team at Apple Inc.'s headquarters in the USA for six years starting in 2013, he was directly involved in the design of almost all Latin alphabets, numbers, signs, and symbols used across Apple's three operating systems (iOS, MacOS, and WatchOS). After moving to Hongik University in Seoul in 2019, concurrently involved in education and collaborating with companies such as Hyundai Motor Company and Kakao Corp. through industry-academic partnerships, designing custom fonts, and providing consultancy on overall typography in the UX environment.
