During my 20+ years in software development I have been focusing on several areas: - Real time audio and network communication; - Audio processing algorithms for both speech and music; - Cross-platform c++ development including desktop, mobile and embedded systems; - Using Qt framework for both UX and core functionality. - Designing and supporting client-server systems for real time communication. - Linux setup and administration (especially in networking, audio and performance departments) for development, testing and production needs. - Scripting (mostly bash, python and octave) for automation and prototyping. - Data analysis and processing algorithms. Even though I have been in the industry for quite a while, the thing I love the most about IT is learning new things and exploring new paths. I have strong problem solving skills and have always been looking for new challenges. This was one of the reasons why I decided to try freelance. I also have strong background in math and physics (my PhD thesis was about using quantum field theory math apparatus in the theory of turbulence). I have been consistently using this background throughout my career in IT for complex algorithm development, DSP and data analysis. I also did side projects about using computer vision and machine learning for music analysis and synthesis, although I wouldn't call myself a profi in these areas.
