I am an IT Support Specialist, System Administrator and Network Engineer with over 3 years of hands-on experience keeping IT systems running smoothly in the retail and food service industries. My focus is on being a reliable pair of hands for businesses that need their networks, servers, and hardware managed correctly. I am currently in a transition phase of my career. While I am comfortable managing traditional infrastructure, I am an active student of DevOps and Cloud Engineering. I am currently learning the fundamentals of Linux, Ansible, and scripting with Python and PowerShell. I don't claim to be an expert in these newer areas yet, but I am committed to learning them so I can bring more automation and efficiency to the projects I work on. What I can help you with right now: - Reliable Networking: Setting up and maintaining Ubiquiti (UniFi), MikroTik, and Cisco networks. I can help with stable Wi-Fi, VPNs, VLANs, and keeping your office connected. - Virtualization: Managing and deploying virtual machines using Proxmox VE. I enjoy helping small businesses consolidate their hardware. - General IT Support: Providing Level 1 & 2 support for Windows Server and SQL Server. I’m comfortable troubleshooting day-to-day technical issues and managing backups (TrueNAS). - On-Site Tech: I have plenty of experience with the physical side of IT—installing CCTV, VoIP (Grandstream), and AV systems. Network Engineering: I am proficient in local and mid-level networking, but I want to be clear that I do not have experience with these advanced protocols yet: Protocols: BGP, EIGRP, RIP, HSRP, MPLS, VXLAN, EVPN, QoS. DevOps, SRE & Platform Engineering: I am an active learner in these areas, but I am not yet an expert in: Automation & IaC: Ansible (Active Study), Terraform. CI/CD & Containers: CI/CD Pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes (Orchestration). Monitoring & Observability: Grafana, Zabbix. Cloud & Virtualization: AWS, Azure, GCP, KVM, Linux (Active Study). Scripting: Python, PowerShell. My Philosophy: Every expert was once a junior who was given a chance to start from zero. I might not have all these certifications or advanced skills today, but that does not mean I am not willing to take the risk and learn.
