Lauren C.

I'm a results-driven Grant Writer and Program Manager with over two decades of experience leading high-impact global development initiatives in health, education, conservation, and community empowerment. I specialize in managing multi-million-dollar grant portfolios, building cross-sector partnerships, and delivering strategic funding solutions that improve lives and expand opportunities worldwide. In my most recent role with USAID’s American Schools and Hospitals Abroad (ASHA) program, I led grant management and oversight for over $84M in global funding, chaired Technical Evaluation Committees awarding $29M+, and ensured rigorous compliance, sustainability, and equity integration across all projects. From coordinating U.S. Embassy engagement to mentoring junior staff, I bring both strategic vision and operational discipline to every project. My grant writing achievements span grassroots to federal levels—securing funding to support radio stations for public health education, reforestation in the Sahel, income-generating programs for women, and critical medical equipment access. My early work with the Peace Corps and International Rescue Committee sharpened my ability to write compelling, community-informed proposals and manage programs that drive real impact. I’m passionate about helping mission-driven organizations grow their reach through strong proposals, evidence-based programming, and collaborative partnerships. Whether responding to urgent needs or advancing long-term development, I bring a blend of strategic leadership, field-tested expertise, and deep commitment to equitable, sustainable solutions.
