Are you looking for positive and constructive feedback from a beta reader? Line editing to enhance and refine your voice? Proofreading to catch those last, elusive typos, missing quotation marks, and spelling errors? I love helping writers polish their prose and making sure their unique writing voice shines through. I have a passion for adult and YA fantasy, science fiction, thriller/horror, and romance of any kind. I have experience as an author in both Indie and traditional publishing and am happy to guide others through the process of writing and publishing. In my editing, I give feedback from a reader’s perspective as well as editorial suggestions. Currently, I provide the following services: • Line Editing • Copy editing • Proofreading • Beta Reading • Ghost Writing (if you have a solid outline) While new to freelancing, I have 10 years of experience as a professional editor and proofreader, with a diverse background in fiction as well as non-fiction. I hold a BA in Studio Art, a minor in English, with additional study in the fields of photography, theater, and art education. I’m a lifetime learner, adding to my knowledge every year. To keep my skills sharp, I am currently working toward a certification in writing and editing from the University of Michigan. ABOUT ME: I’m a bit book crazy; you’ll find overflowing bookcases in all the rooms of my house except the bathroom. I’ve worked a wide variety of jobs: retail manager, display manager, library circulation and technical services clerk, rhythm guitar player, graphic designer, and assistant tai-chi instructor to name a few. Gardening is one of my hobbies, another is jewelry making. I have one cat named Pippin, who often gets into more mischief than the hobbit from Lord of the Rings.
