Market Research Analyst | Competitor Analysis | Consumer Insights
You don't have a data problem. You have a so-what problem. I'm a market research analyst who helps founders, B2B teams and e-commerce brands get clear answers through market research, competitor analysis, lead and prospect research, and consumer research. Most businesses already have plenty of information. What they don't have is a clear answer: Should we launch? Which market do we enter first? Who should we be selling to? What are competitors doing that we're not? Every deliverable ends with what you should do next and why. Recent work: a vetted referral-partner list for an AI SaaS startup, market-entry research on Nigeria for an international consultancy, product research across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and permit-based lead lists for a US roofing company. A few situations this covers: - You're about to launch or enter a new market, and need to know if the demand is really there. That's market research and market analysis: market size, trends, demand signals, regulations and entry barriers. - You know who your competitors are, but not where they're strong or where they're leaving gaps. That's competitor analysis and competitive intelligence: pricing, positioning, features, customer reviews, benchmarking and SWOT. - You need the right people to sell to or partner with, not a scraped list full of dead contacts. That's lead and prospect research: companies and decision-makers matched to your criteria, checked and sourced, with weaker fits flagged separately. - You want to know what customers actually think and why they buy, or don't. That's consumer research: reviews, online communities, forums and survey data turned into clear patterns and segments. - You're testing an idea before spending money on it. That's product research and market validation: demand, competition, pricing and the gaps nobody is filling yet. What you'll typically get: - A short summary of findings and what to do next - Competitor comparison and positioning breakdown - Lead or prospect lists in Excel or Google Sheets, ready for outreach - Sources documented for every key finding - Clear recommendations, not data dumps How I work: - I start with the decision you're trying to make, then build the research around it. - I ask questions early when something in the brief isn't clear, so the research answers the right question. - I tell you upfront what I can access and what I can't. If a project needs a paid tool like Semrush or Similarweb, I subscribe for that project and cover it in the fee. Tools & sources: Excel, Google Sheets, Statista, Crunchbase, LinkedIn, Google Trends, Meta Ad Library, company filings, industry reports, customer reviews and online communities.
