I design packaging for food, beverage, supplement and skincare brands: pouches, cartons, retail boxes and bottle labels, taken from first layout to the print file your manufacturer needs. My background is in flexible packaging and label work: snack pouches, skincare labels, retail and ecommerce boxes, and multi flavor lines where six SKUs have to read as one family on the shelf. WHAT I TAKE ON - New product packaging, built from your brand assets, product details or a rough sketch - Redesigns that fix an outdated pack without losing what customers already recognize - Flavor and SKU systems, so adding a new variant is a quick adaptation and not a new project - Artwork on your printer's dieline, or a custom dieline when you don't have one - Print file cleanup when your artwork looks right on screen but isn't ready for the printer HOW I DESIGN THE PACK Front, back and side panels are designed together as one pack. I build the hierarchy around what a shopper needs in the first few seconds: what it is, which flavor or variant, the main benefit, then everything else. Barcode zones, nutrition panels and ingredient panels are placed from the content you supply. PRODUCTION DETAILS I BUILD IN Packaging fails at the printer, not on screen, so I design with the physical pack in mind. 1️⃣Pouches: seal areas kept clear of key content, zipper and tear notch clearance, hang hole position, and front panel content placed so it isn't lost in the gusset or curve when the pouch is filled 2️⃣Cartons and boxes: glue flaps, tuck and fold zones, panel orientation, and safe margins away from cuts and creases 3️⃣Labels: wrap around fit, seam placement, and legibility of small text on curved bottles and jars 4️⃣Color: CMYK builds, spot colors when your printer needs them, and rich black and overprint set up correctly 5️⃣Barcodes: placed with correct quiet zones and sized to spec, using your own code 6️⃣Files: bleed, trim and safe zones set up, with the dieline kept on its own layer WHAT YOU RECEIVE Print ready PDF, editable AI source files, PSD where needed, and 3D mockups for approvals and your product page. I work in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, and I name and organize files so your printer, or the next designer, can open them and find everything. WHAT TO SEND ME - Logo and brand colors, or brand guidelines - Product name, flavors or variants, and all copy (claims, ingredients, nutrition, legal lines) - Your printer's or manufacturer's dieline and specs, if you have them - Where it will be sold: retail shelf, Amazon or your own store - Any packs you like, or competitor packs you want to stand apart from If you don't have all of this yet, send what you have and I will tell you what is missing. HOW WE WORK 1. You send the brief and materials above. 2. I send a layout direction first, so we agree on the approach before I build every panel. 3. I refine it, roll it across all SKUs and prepare the final files. Revisions: 3 are included in each project. Changes to the agreed direction after sign-off are quoted separately. Regulatory content: I format and place the panels from the information you give me. Checking the legal accuracy of claims and nutrition data stays with you or your regulatory advisor.
