Ontology engineer for biomedical and pharmaceutical knowledge graphs. I build, check and govern RDF/OWL ontologies so they stay consistent from one release to the next, and stay usable by people, applications and AI agents. What I do: • Ontology engineering in OWL/RDF: integration and alignment with SNOMED CT, UBERON, DOID, CL, BAO and other BioPortal/OBO ontologies. • Quality control: ROBOT, custom SPARQL, SHACL shape libraries, release-to-release axiom diffs, changelogs, dev-to-prod versioning. • Knowledge graph pipelines: messy spreadsheets and structured data turned into RDF and loaded into Fuseki, Virtuoso or Neo4j. • AI + ontologies: spreadsheet-to-ontology mapping with sentence-transformer matching plus LLM review; exposing ontologies to AI agents through MCP. Currently ontology engineer for a global biopharmaceutical company (ontology lifecycle and QA/QC) and for a semantic web consultancy building an ontology governance platform. Before that, I built bioMérieux's ontology pipeline and Virtuoso knowledge graph from scratch.
