Ahmed M.
IoT Product Engineer | ESP32, PCB, AWS
I take hardware and software ideas from a sketch to a working system you can sell or use in-house. Several of my clients are on their third or fourth project with me, which is the number I'd check first if I were hiring. I work like an owner, not a vendor. What I promise in the plan is exactly what lands on your desk, on the timeline we agreed. And if it ever doesn't, you don't pay for it. I can afford that rule because I prefer to work long term with my clients, and in three years of running my studio no client has ever had to invoke it. What I handle • Circuit board design (EasyEDA, Altium, KiCad) • Firmware (ESP32, STM32, nRF, bare metal or ESP-IDF) • Low power design, where battery life is measured on a Nordic power profiler, not estimated in a spreadsheet • Long range wireless that holds up in a real building (LoRa, BLE, Wi-Fi, cellular) • The cloud and the dashboard your users log into (AWS IoT, Lambda, Next.js) • Fabrication in China, QA, and shipping from factory to site Some recent work • A live efficiency platform for 320-ton industrial chiller fleets. Messy sensor streams in, a live efficiency number out, on a dashboard the end customers watch 24/7 • A wrist-mounted camera and IMU capture unit for a robotics researcher, delivered here on Upwork • A Bluetooth torque meter with its own custom PCB, firmware, and iOS and Android apps • A pool automation network where LoRa nodes report to a hub and AWS, hardened until the link stopped dropping and the dashboard stopped lying about who was online • A vending platform where a QR scan and a Stripe payment open the slot in seconds, with firmware running the whole machine on four AA batteries • Smart glasses with an onboard camera and bone-conduction audio, built as an in-house product My bench is stocked ESP32-S3, nRF54L15, DA16200, QCC730M, Heltec LoRa V3 at 915 MHz, Quectel cellular, STM32 and Raspberry Pi are all sitting here in front of me, along with a Nordic PPK2 for current profiling. If your project uses one of those, the risky part gets proven in the first week instead of after a shipping wait. Most clients come with a problem, not a spec. I scope it with you, put a fixed price on each phase, and tell you when a requirement will cost more than it's worth. It has to work, on time, without you owning the headache. Tell me what you're trying to ship or launch. I'll come back with a plan, a price, and a timeline. Tech I work with daily: ESP32, ESP32-S3, STM32, nRF54L15, DA16200, LoRa, BLE, Modbus, MQTT, Altium, KiCad, AWS IoT Core, Lambda, DynamoDB, Stripe Connect, Next.js, TypeScript.
