I create K-12 science curriculum and learning materials for classrooms, digital learning platforms, edtech companies, publishers, and education organizations. I use digital tools, including AI, to support brainstorming, outlining, revision, and clarity checks, while relying on my science expertise and classroom experience to ensure final materials are accurate, age-appropriate, and instructionally sound. My recent experience as a Biology Content Creator focused on developing middle school biology materials aligned to NGSS and TEKS. I also spent 10 years in the classroom developing original high school biology and oceanography resources. Across both settings, I designed learning materials with an emphasis on clarity, accessibility, scientific accuracy, and classroom usability. I hold an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with a biology concentration, a B.S. in Marine Biology, and an active Virginia teaching license with a biology endorsement. I have written 200+ assessment items, created original Honors Biology course materials used by multiple teachers, and developed an eight-unit oceanography course aligned to Ocean Literacy principles. I also have experience building and organizing digital learning materials in LMS platforms and contributing content within CMS workflows.
