Mechanical Engineer for Manufacturing | CNC, Tooling & Fixtures
Most mechanical designs fail not in CAD, but in manufacturing. I’m a mechanical engineer who designs tooling and production systems that have been fabricated, tested, and run on real machines — including roll-forming tooling, sheet-metal stamping dies, and CNC-manufactured components. My value is not just modeling parts, but anticipating manufacturing failure modes: alignment issues, tolerance stack-ups, material behavior, setup constraints, and shop-floor realities that don’t show up on a screen. What I typically work on: • Roll forming tooling and sheet-metal production systems • Manufacturing tooling, jigs, fixtures, and dies • Reverse engineering for existing machines or tooling • Production-ready CAD with fabrication drawings I work primarily in Fusion 360, and I bring hands-on experience with CNC machining (mill, lathe, laser), prototyping, and manufacturing optimization (DFM). I’m comfortable working under NDAs, doing live design sessions, and sharing screen recordings when needed. Clients work with me when failure is expensive and timelines matter. If you need designs that look good and survive the shop floor, we should talk.
