I’m Debabrata Das, a Mechanical Design Engineer and PhD researcher specializing in advanced product design, simulation, and engineering analysis. I hold an M.Tech in Engineering Design and am currently pursuing my PhD, where my work focuses on solving complex engineering problems involving fluid flow, structural behavior, and advanced materials. My research background strengthens my ability to approach design not just from a practical perspective, but with deep analytical and scientific understanding. Professionally, I work at Ayu Electronics Pvt. Ltd., contributing to the design and development of medical devices and mechanical systems, ensuring performance, safety, and manufacturability. My core expertise includes CAD, CFD, and FEA, using tools like ANSYS, OpenFOAM, Abaqus, Fusion 360, and FreeCAD. I specialize in simulation-driven design, helping reduce development cost and time while improving product reliability. I have worked on a wide range of projects, including: Development of an RCCB (Residual Current Circuit Breaker) for real-world applications A patent-oriented pet feeding system A multifunctional door locking mechanism Design for SLS/FDM 3D printing components Gym equipment and fabrication systems CNC programming for precision machining Components related to drones and agricultural tools My simulation experience includes: Compressible flow in rotating systems (SRF approach) Multiphase and porous media thermal analysis Carbon fiber composite analysis using cohesive zone modeling (CZM) I also focus heavily on Design for Manufacturing (DFM), ensuring that every design is practical, efficient, and production-ready.
