Ioana Alexandra C.
Software Engineer | Debugging, Root Cause Analysis & Maintenance
Hi! I'm Ioana, a software engineer with 10 years of experience developing, maintaining and troubleshooting complex applications, mainly in the medical software industry. My strongest skill, and the part of engineering I enjoy most, is investigating difficult software issues, understanding why things go wrong and finding their root causes. During my years working on medical diagnostic systems, I investigated issues involving multithreading, data management, application state, hardware communication and legacy architecture. I also developed functionality for monitoring instrument states and handling hardware-related errors. I don't just focus on making a bug disappear. I want to understand what caused it, how different parts of the system interact and what risks a potential fix might introduce. My strongest development experience is in C#/.NET, but I'm also interested in investigating problems involving other technologies. I'm comfortable exploring unfamiliar codebases, learning how systems work and following issues across different layers. Today, I also work as a QA Engineer, testing web and mobile applications, investigating defects and collaborating closely with developers. **I can help you with:** - Software debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis - C#/.NET development, bug fixing, and maintenance - Investigating multithreading, data consistency, and application state issues - Hardware–software integration and communication problems - Maintaining and improving existing applications - Technical QA, exploratory testing, and regression testing - Investigating unexpected behaviour across different application layers I particularly enjoy challenging problems that require patience, curiosity and systematic investigation. If you're dealing with a difficult software issue or need someone who can investigate a problem thoroughly, I'd be happy to help.
